I find this disturbing, given Germany’s actions in World War Two. As well, it’s disturbing that a German government official attended an Iran military parade in 2008, where comments such as “Israel should be wiped off the map” were displayed. At the same time that Germany is funding and arming Iran, it is urging other nations, such as the U.S., Britain, France and Israel to join Germany in sanctions and pressure against Iran. This is similar to what occurred with Iraq, where the German government was both supplying Iraq with weapons prior to the Iraq invasion and stating that it considered Iraq a threat to both Europe and the US because of weapons of mass destruction programs, including biological weapons such as anthrax. A similar pattern is seen with Japan in regard to North Korea, in terms of claims against the reported abduction of Japanese citizens 30 years ago, some who were in North Korea voluntarily. Both Germany and Japan were involved in the arming of Iran and North Korea with the components for their nuclear weapons programs. It was a German ship that was discovered carrying goods from Germany to Libya in 2003, that resulted in information about arming of Libya, Iran and North Korea with nuclear centrifuge components.
