lal: In Israel it IS viewed as somewhat of an Indian security failure, although I am sure a big part of the blame is also placed on Israeli security (which is used to dealing with these kind of situations.

The fact that it took the Indian security forces so long to handle the situation is the disgrace. It is definitely seen as a failure since none of the hostages came out alive. If Israel reacts, it will be targeted against the organization and people supporting the attack – its usual strategy. Remember – Israelis have been under these kind of attacks all over the world for many years. It is sad to see how they can literally happen anywhere nowadays!

How is it viewed in israel….as an indian security operations falure?frankly after the KANDAHAR debacle the question of negotiations were never on,if u ask me.If al qaeda is behind the attacks then i assume the world has nothing better to offer….What if Leshkar-E-Toiba is behind the attack…Is israel thinking of any moves
