Isn't it high time that kids are groomed to be good politicians the way we groom them for other professions ? Similarly every family should decide to send one member to join the forces. It's "Our" country, so the responsibility to protect it from hostile attacks lies upon each of us. The question is how many of us sincerely accept the responsibility. Let's wake up to the call & do "my" bit !

Being defensive never works, it basically means you will always be on the receiving end of things. If you are lucky you go unscared else you get hurt....either ways the other guy goes unpunished. We have to get proactive at this. Just perking up our defenses is not gonna help

It is true that people staying abroad are getting benifitted from the coverage of this issue. But these news channels are giving undue importance to trivial issues like should the minister apologise for his remarks, Should RGV have come to TAJ etc instead of focussing on the main issue. At this hour of need , these channels should shoulder more responsibility than ever and stop sensetionalising the issue.many citizens who trust second hand information , form opinion based on these channels. Some of our TV channels are going to the extent of asking people not to vote and callling some politicians and ministers by profane words..Its high time there is check on these channels.

With all due respect to the sportsmen and their achievements - pls allow me to raise a question - Why is it that a sharpshooter is awarded crores for winning an international sporting event but another sharpshooter gets paid a pittance of few lakhs for sacrificing his life while fighting terror attacks on his motherland ?

I salute the bravehearts who sacrificed their life to keep us safe !

After the media excesses in Kargil, we should have had esential guidelines and regulation in place for media to follow when they wish to cover sensitive issues.
The tv journalists don't grow up - they only continue to prove thier immaturity. We have been having an endless wait for them to regulate themselves. Needs a check before they get out of hand. When will the Ministry of Info and Broadcasting should also wake up.

People seem to miss the point in most of these messages. This is not a war about Pakistan, or Kashmir or Israel or even USA. The war is Islam's war against infidels. Islam inspires radicalism among Muslims and there will always be such Muslims who will want to take the war directly to Kafirs. The only solution to Islamic terror is to encourage Muslims to leave Islam.

Hi All,

I thank all indians who have come together as one and are fighting against such a big incident which has occured. I wud luv to see my people together like this not only at the time of crisis like this but always.

I think we shud have nsg operations in mumbai also and proper arms and amunitions are provided to the police we should be prepared as much as we can for such uncertain incidents which we might have to face in future also.

A special thanks to all you people who helped each other Taj staff, oberoi staff, trident staff and large no of commandos and the troop who helped save life of many people and the heroes most importantly like mr. yadav and mr. zende and many more who were there.

And I am proud to be borne in such a country were we had brave heroes like major sundeep unnikrishnan, karkare, salaskar, kamte and tukaram omble and many more.

And for the politicians its a shame on us that we chose such leaders who dont have a heart also its very sad.

I cannot forget nor the people of india should ever forget this incident ever and continue there movements accordingly.

Thanks to the media who helped us a lot but still would like and request you to show only what is required rather than showing live which might also help are enemies we cannot take a chance like this again.

Together we can make it happen.

I agree with Saurav Raj, people here are just getting personal and some are even getting discriminative.

Guys are you here to provoke a NEW WAR between India and Pakistan, or you want some peaceful solution?? A friend of mine was giving his views in a chat the other day. That its been a bitter truth of our governments that public is usually unaware of the complete truth.

So why fighting here, just because Media is pushing us towards WAR. Arent we responsible citizens of our nations? Why cant we provoke peace?

Please all those with hatred thoughts, dont write such messages that can build more hatred across the borders.

I wish peace!
