I'm taking a Journalism class at a college in New York and we are always discovering and trying out new types of news sharing websites like Twitter. This website is right up the alley of the class and could be really helpful to student journalists.

Jorge - Gracias - I'd love to see Global Voices bloggers use ReportingOn as a tool to connect with reporters at news organizations in the nations they cover!

The overwhelming turnout of Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking journalists in the first few days after launching the site in public beta has been really encouraging, and I'm excited to see how much of an international presence can be built on this platform.
