		<description>As a translator, I consider this is simply a case of localization gone wrong. Whether that means Google will need to change its strategy or not is not clear at this point.

It will be interesting to see what happens in other places like the U.K. when the service is introduced. 		<description>I may be wrong -- I have a feeling that some of the Japanese reaction against Street View is part of a &quot;Japan Is Special&quot; mindset. (Google is a US company, of course.)

The service has not yet launched in the UK, and we will see what happens here when it does.

Japan and the UK are not very dissimilar in the layout of suburban housing, so similar issues about privacy may arise.</description>
