well on my opinion this china milk scare has a huge impact not only on the global market but also on china's relationship with other countries.

*on the global market:
we all know that china is one of the leading producers of milk in the market. Since the scandal erupted, sales have fallen by 30-40% on a comparative basis. Consumer panic resulting from the contaminated milk has lessened demand for dairy products, causing hardship to more than 2 million Chinese farmers who have nowhere to sell their milk, and no means to support their dairy cows. Farmers have been pouring away milk, and contemplating selling cows into a buyer less market.and i do think that it will soon face a great economic crisis.[just an opinion]

*on its public relations:
well it greatly affects its relationship because several countries such as Vietnam, thailand and also our country, Philippines has completely banned the china-made products. and several cases of death because of melamine contaminated milk were reported.

Beijing Calling!
The honorable Premier's office has issued an official press release, calling all the oversea students from China, in 10 days time, everybody must bring(1) Chinese 5 stars red flags, the bigger the better,(2) One litre of Chinese made milk, (3) One big box of China made Big Rabbit Milk Candy.
Then on noon of that day(10 days from now), all the students should go to their respective countries' Government Parliament House, with red flags in hand, they should sing patriotic songs(like The East is Red), shout patriotic slogans( like I love China, I hate CIA, FBI, CNN, ABC, etc, at the same time, show those western imperillist running dogs, how we patriotic Chinese students' Love The Motherland by drinking all the milk and eat all the Big Rabbit Milk Candy in front of the Parliament House.
This is an official Chinese Government Order.

China is never what it seems to be. Food contamination and corruption are industries just like prostitution and counterfeit money there. Anything "Made in China" has become a global phenomenon of "buy with caution". Their Government leaders speak often of "learnt lessons" from the tainted milk scandal but they stopped journalists from publishing the news months before the Olympics and now intimidating lawyers from sueing the producers. The only lesson their Government learnt is how to cover-up more effectively the next time another horrible wrongdoing blows up - maybe of the government's own making. Since the passing of Mao's era, two generations of Chinese have emerged - all hungry for the dollar without morals. They have grown up without any exposure to religion or confucianism, what else can foreigners expects of China these days?? The rotting is as bad as in the Government as in their business world. Most have no ethics nor they respect contracts. Many foreigners encountered very bad experiences. You trust Chinese to your own peril.

Only 28 people reported to be detained for questioning by the Central authority ( and how many were quietly released??) and milk products contaminated all over China, ordionary Chinese people must be asking what is the true extent of official cover-up at the behest of the highest level? Concealment and protection of criminal cronies are corrupt conduct in Government and if these are an immovable and non-negotiable boundary of public administration, can there ever be food security in China? Chinese people and much of the world who buy Chinese food products are very angry. It is time their leaders talk less rubbish of rhetoric and do a little bit of justice by giving real help and finding a transparent solution to corrupt poisoning of babies. Nobody believes their movie make-believe episodes of hospital visits "kissing" sick babies in front of bitter parents. The babies are clueless why they felt so sick and some strangers pretending to comfort them. The handling of this scam is nothing short of disgraceful.
