I am unaware of the reason for the 9/11 attacks. Why did they do it? And what are the criminal acts that the American Politican lied about?

Jay, I agree that there is still a threat from some Islamic groups but most of these groups are not centered in Islamic countries nowadays but rather in Europe, with the exception of Pakistan. A lot of Arab countries were victims of these groups and they started fighting them since the early 1990s. One of the countries were NONE of these groups existed was Iraq. Really there was not even a peaceful Islamic political movement because Saddam would have crushed it.
I think these groups have served the US government a great service over a long time.

Meanwhile, I don't think BinLadin has been dead since November 2001 because in some of his speeches after that he mentioned events that were virtually impossible to predict. However we haven't heard from him in a very long time, maybe he'll come with a recording 2 days before the current elections to help McCain get elected.

Amira, thank you for mentioning my blog.

In case you havgen't figured it out, Bin Laden is dead. D-E-A-D. Phony videos and suspect audio tapes support this fact. He died buried in a cave in November 2001.

The trouble is that the hate and violence lives on. Yes, America makes mistakes, lots of them. Yes, Bush makes mistakes. The biggest mistake , however, is that the West does not see Islamic agtression for what it is -jihad against the West.

Please do not complain about "screenings" and loss of civil liberties. The fact is that Islamic terrorists were attacking before 9/11 and they will continue to attack long after Bush is gone, no matter who is elected. Instead of blaming others for their problems (Israel, Bush, Santa Claus, jews, colonialism, poverty, etc) why doesn't the Muslim world take a good look at itself, its actions and its beliefs? Who knows, maybe they will notice something....

On the other hand, I think the US should get out of the Arab / Muslim world. There is nothing we can do to solve their problems. When we leave Iraq, it will fall apart. What we need is to be honest about the issues and tell the Arab world the truth about their problems. Until both the West and the Muslim world are honest about these things, nothing will change and the terror will contiue. It will continue.
