The similarity that I see is that Russia has chosen to act in a similar fashion to the USA in Iraq, NATO in Serbia, and Turkey in Cyprus. Against the Principals that millions lost their lives for in WW I, we continue to ignore the real enemies which plague Mankind such as Ignorance and Intolerance, toward satisfying the need to plunder for selfish reasons.
Cyprus is a key, with the concept of bicommunality to define, (people as Individuals and as Persons). My hope is the desire for revenge, and the adversarial politic which is so much a part of our history can be shown to have an end through the understanding that we as Humans seek to better our condition as equals.
