I am a graduate study in the US and am hoping to conduct some research in Tbilisi. I speak Russian only. I would love to learn Georgian to some degree, but realistically, I will mostly be speaking Russian in my every day interactions. Will this be a problem? Will people view me negatively because I don't speak Georgian? Thanks for any comments you can give.
