China

People are calling for bone testing to find the truth regarding He Kexin's age, Life 2.0 blogger Isaac Mao writes: ‘Forget that, we've already won and lost all the face there is to win or lose. The IOC is playing stupid, so let them have it.' So just what is the truth? Mao proposes four of them:

1. The gymnastics team is lying;
2. The media have been too, since last year;
3. Both of the above and He is actually 20 years old;
4. Nobody is lying—Superman went back in his time machine and altered the news reports to smear China.

    Most nations have gymnasts under the of 16 who could have competed and won medals. However, those other countries respected the rules and didn’t participate with underage gymnasts.

    Can you imagine the unfairness of the silver, bronze, and fourth place finishers who spent a lifetime preparing for this olympics, making incredible sacrifices, only to have their dreams stripped by cheaters? If these allegations are true, then shame on the government of China. The Chinese team should be stripped of their medals.

    I completely agree with Oliver. The poor fourth place finishers…

    Why is it “allegedly” so difficult for the Chinese to abide by a rule? All the other countries followed the rules.

    Seriously, even if the girl is underage it doesn’t really matter because they already won the medal! Sure it would definitely upset some people & some would even picket or protest which makes us Americans famous! Personally, as an american, i could really care less about how old the girl is because isn’t every thing in China done at an early age? Don’t they have kids working in sweat shops making our shoes & shirts? Every one should just leave the girl alone because,like i said, she & the China team already won & it would not be very nice if they took their medals away! :(
    Or would it?

  • America and most American’s are nothing but sore losers. I’m glad He Kexin won. She beat Shawn Johnson and Nasty Lookin fairly.

    As an American,I don’t think we should take away her medal.Underage or not,she was good.She was good enough to earn the medal right?
    If she is underage,then that’s illegal.But we shouldn’t take her medal away because she worked hard for it and she was actually good.

    I agree with Meg and Oliver, other nations followed the rules and China didn’t. This is totally left field, but usually she was judged higher than any other gymnasts. The Chinese governemnt is very deceiving, they will stop at nothing to get ahead. I am glad they stripped her medals, give them to somebody more worthy and older. She can participate in the next Olympics, when she is the right age. Are you even in the US Marines?, because I know a true US Marine wouldn’t say a comment like that.

    I don’t think that most Americans are sore losers, how ever I do think that we as a nation are very “in to” winning. We don’t go to a sport to lose! We go to win! It’s a natural human instinct to want to win some thing that we trained so hard for. Like I said in a prior comment, Chinese people have kids working in sweat shops making OUR clothes when our kids over here can barely walk.

    plus you should think about it! if it were one our gymnasts …hell would break loose & we would have probably had to give up our gold medal!!

  • forgive

    Hey,
    Chinese always lies. everything and time.

  • amber

    I highly doubt he is a Marine…Im married to a Marine, we are surrounded by marines in my husbands family & mine too..plus im in the navy so we are surrounded by military personnel so who ever the person claiming to be a US MARINE is probably full of it. I can’t believe you were saying some thing so unpatriotic.
