When I was in Korea in 1951 I witnessed many of my comrades dead and wounded. I went many days hungry giving my c rations to Korean citizens and I tried talking as much Korean as I could with the short amount of time I spent there. I was sent to a hospital in Japan and never returned. I understand the different interests in governments but there would be no South Korea without our help. We have protestors here in America unhappy with sending so much money and military supplies to Korea. If the weapons are old it is because North Korea has old weapons also and the United States has been committed to defending Korea with modern weapons and American lives if hostilities were to start. The old weapons are for holding back an invasions until we can retaliate from sea and air We have the same trade difficulties with our farmers living poor existance because we bring in food from other countries as part of trade deals. At least in Korea properity exists. My family owns 5 Hyundai's of different models. When your diplomats come to America there is few protestors battling with police over their visits.
Please be civil. I loved the Korean people I met in hospitals and in villiages.
