What worries me about all the coverage that the hostage release has received is the fact that NO ONE in the traditional media outlets is talking about FARC in any depth whatsoever. If they become just an abstract terrorist organization that kidnaps Americans and Presidential candidates in the eyes of outsiders then it's almost a given that the situation won't change and that the complicated reality in Colombia will never be fully understood beyond its borders.
