I can’t believe that this is really happening in South Africa. The xenophobic in South Africa are shocking! Have South Africans totally lost their minds? All these killings, are they necessary? The whole thing is really appalling.
My sister is in South Africa, a Botswana citizen studying there, am so scared of what they will do to her. The place where she is doing her internship is were the attacks are in Pretoria…why doesn’t the South African government lock up these lazy bastards? They say people are stealing their jobs but they don’t have the qualifications or the expertise, how absurd is that?
They forget the time when it was them running into our country during the apartheid era…and we welcomed into our homes, into our streets and country, now they turn around and attack their own kind….!
It is shameful to imagine that people can still behave in this way at this period of human progress! To attack people in a non-conflict situation in such a gruesome and inhuman nature is just appalling and those who think Africans are not completely human have just been given a strong point to the argument. These people have taken back civilisation by two centuries.
The whole South African system is to blame first for not educating this section of its population, and most especially, for not protecting the victims. It is absolutely inadmissible that a nation allows immigrants into its country when it cannot give them protection.
In my opinion, the South African governement cannot be trusted to handle this issue efficiently. This is a clear case of genocide and crimes against humanity; and the International Community should come in and prosecute the perpetrators accordingly. I don’t think there is any difference between these people and those who have been convicted in Rwada and Sierra leone. Country’s whose citiwens were victims should also take diplomatic action and call home their ambassadors, so that South Africa should understand the magnitude of the problem.
