Well, I suppose it could be argued that "Christian Satan" sings Mugham as he transforms into a "Moslem Angel." However, I'm not even going to bother to look into any symbolism to be honest because a) if it's there it's subjective and debatable and b) it's Eurovision so if it is or if it isn't, nobody watching the show other than the Shushi charity will even care or actually think so deeply anyway.

For me it's just a great show of theatrics and I'm not even going to get bothered if people start questioning who the Georgian entry is directed against. ;-)

It's Eurovision! It can only be taken less than seriously although I personally think the Azeri act is cool if totally over-the-top. As some are now saying, that's what Eurovision should be all about.

Yes, I do not expect these 2 countries score each other high. It is the sad reality of our recent history, and unfortunately politics play an important role in voting. However, this AZG "news" is by far the most ridiculous comment I heard from any nationalist on either side.

I think it's unfortunate and yes, stupid. However, I suppose it is to be expected -- nationalists (and probably in both countries) objecting to the "other side." Regardless, I think it's ridiculous that Azg gave exposure to this seemingly small protest, but I suppose that's their right.

Unfortunately, I suspect that voting by both Armenia and Azerbaijan will be political in the final although I suppose every country does that, but anyway. Still, I can but hope things will be different but I doubt it. Ironically, Turkey gave full marks to Armenia last year but I'm wondering if both Armenia and Azerbaijan will score each other low in this year's final.

If so, it won't be the music that plays the determining factor.

I also think that it is stupid. How can Satan represent Christians if he sings national Mugham?
