I think it was refreshing to see the Tanzanians recently reject the American diplomatic visit. To assume that America is visiting us out of anything but self interests is to ignore our history for far too long.
I definitely think that we should begin to discuss at the civil level just what we will do with the proliferation of American troops and bases all over the world. The large scale abuse, rape and threat of violence must somehow come to an end.
