@ Jesse: Protect from “external influence”? I hate to break it to you, but one’s sexual orientation does not come from the outside, and homosexuality is present across every time and in every culture.

Yeah, that seems a bit drastic, but don’t they have the right to protect their culture from external influence? As long as the people see the political motives behind it…
But the question is, how do they determine if someone is gay or is veering towards being gay? That could be quite impossible to do, so it all must be a big puff of smoke.
