I watched with interest CNN's continous coverage of the torch relay post London and thereon.

Most importantly, I listened and watched intensely to the CNN commentators & reporters and their imputed views of the events as they unfolded.

My conclusion to date is this:

1) CNN reporters and commentators and the news editors seemed to be always looking for pro-Tibetian disturbances with a pro-Tibetian slant.

2) The channel's employees seem to be quite delighted whenever something goes wrong for China and its authorities.Further, the questions and direction of CNN reporters of the people on the ground is to lead viewers to see that the Olympic torch relay is a dismal failure!

3) This seems to be consistent with CNN's coverage of most Asian countries for example, whenever it covers Malaysia or Indonesia etc with a slant towards supporting dissidents.

4) At the same time, CNN seems to be well supported with advertising by the various tourism government agencies of both these countries and more.

5) In this way, these stupid governments are giving CNN money to continue with their support of the anti-government elements.

6) Only China does not seem to be stupid enough to do this up to now! I hope the Malaysian and Indonesian govertments learn that their continous support of CNN with their advertising budgets is STUPID.

7) I call for all Asian governments to unshackle themselves from American Imperialism & domination by American & Western news channels firstly, by withdrawing financial support (through withdrawing advertising) from these insurbodinating "PIGs"! Time to hit them where it hurts - in their pockets!

8) I salute the Chinese people for their ability to see through the dirtiness of Western and American news media in sabotaging the forthcoming Chinese Olympics and for their interferance with Chinese domestic politics! Hell to them!

I'm saying to not know of the potential disruptions was stupid, and she should have had more security.

I'm also asking where I can find the most authoritative information on this, because the things I've been able to dig up are not definitive. The main attacker didn't appear to be from the west.

Free World

What make you say "China has gain experience and sent “troops” of fanatic students to protect the torch :)"

China sent troops of fanatic students? How do you know? Out of Imagination?

The fanatic students? They are peaceful and nonviolent. Clearly you dont like them but pretend to be fair and peaceful.

You are simply biased and pretending to be fair.

Good point, Jankovich.

I really dont see the point of protesting other country's politics or whatever.

Nobody really has a higher moral status to point finger at others. In fact, that is the basis of mutual respect.

Isnt it a better world if we mind our own business.

How ironic it is to see some native indonesians and some indonesians muslims holding banners of free tibet and free falun gong while these very same people did murderous crime towards chinese in riot 1998 that has not yet been resolved .

There are plenty of similar things during 70s-80s last century. Funny!

cooper,

No one knows who the attacker is, except London and Paris police I guess.

What are you trying to say? Why can't the disabled athlete attend the torch run? Do you discriminate disabled people? It's the Paris police's responsibility to protect her, and I also want to ask why they failed.

@cooper
The authority have not expecter such a protest here and they think it's safe to send a disabled athlete. When pro tibetans come out of everywhere, do you think the police can stop every pro tibetans?

Countries such as Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia sees China's rise as an opportunity to reduce their dependencies on so-called 1st world countries. This is why the British, USA and France feels threaten.

My understanding, and please correct me if I'm wrong, is the attacker was an Tibetan activist from Tibet, or an East Asian pretending to be a Tibetan activist. Is there a definitive answer to this somewhere? Point to to the information which says who the protester was and where he was from. Thanks.

And who sends a disabled athlete on a contentious torch run with only a blind athlete to wheel her chair, and no one to protect her completely and immediately?

Maybe because China has gain experience and sent "troops" of fanatic students to protect the torch :)
I'm also happy that the fanatic pro-tibet didn't disrupt the torch this time, olympics should be peaceful, but we have to ask ourselves were the peaceful human rights protests relayed in the chinese media?
