The rising number of infectious diseases of HFMD in Singapore is alarming and regretted. It really disturbing to know that Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD) is at a high level again since year 2001.
Spread of HFMD shows poor personal hygiene habits. Education on personal hygiene have is important. Children below the age of five are the most susceptible and they are young and may not know much about the importance of personal hygiene. But as a parents from young age should teach them good hygiene habits.
I strongly urge everyone to play an active role in maintaining good personal hygiene habits.
