“We are discussing the superiority of Western Christian civilization over the indigenous peoples because of infanticide. Well, we may disagree, and want to do something about it, but the indigenous tribes do what they do for one reason clear: in their way of life, it is very difficult to keep disable individuals. Whereas we need every now and then a Veja [magazine] cover to remind us about the abuse, murder and torture of children to remind us how advanced we are.” O Hermenauta [pt] has his last word on a controversial subject that has been debated in the Brazilian blogosphere.

If anyone wants to argue with me…first watch the video on youtube and search tribes in Brazil bury their children. Watch the entire video and then argue. Murder is murder, and I don’t care for what culture. These tribes not only kill the babies that are sick, but sometimes babies who are born female, babies born out of wedlock, and twins, triplets, ect because they feel that they are demonic. We need to help educate and give medical treatment to the children. These tribes will accept the children back into their tribe if the health is restored. These missinaries are there helping and doing positive things to make our world a better place and that is saying more than most people, including myself, can say. I heard on a different blog that the missionaries should just leave them alone and focus on the lumber and cutting down the rainforest. What! Obviously there are a lot of issues in the world that need attention, but these are innocent human babies we are talking about. These tribes are human and deserve to live without fear of having to murder their babies. Most do not want to so they commit suicide versus going through the act.
