Actually, i felt very frustrated about Iraq. Now refugees need to survive in their new homeland when Iraqis still needed to live with daily violence. American troops will only continue the tragedy whether we retreat or not.

Unfortunately, Americans will continue to do what we have done to Iraq because most of Americans, no matter liberals or conservatives, did not value victims as human being.

For most of conservatives, they just believe in their old story of WWII. They think that America will be great again and all of American problems will fade away after they win the "War on Terror". "Who cares war victims? Are you pussies? It is American way!"

For most of liberals, they only treat Iraqi war as a opportunity to blame everything on Bush, Christians, and oil companies. Yes, they have made mistakes, but how about those victims who live under threat and trauma? They are the real victims. Those so-called anti-war people will just laugh at Bush so that they can get drunk and have parties. They will neither listen to anything from surviving Iraqis, nor take them as refugees.

Iraqi War is not one story, but millions of stories. I don't want to say anything about those stories; i am just a listener. Now Americans don't need any hero; we need more people who will be patient to what is really going on in anther part of the world.

If thre entire world had come together to oust Saddam Hussein militarily, then we might not have even had an Iraqi war.
Most of us here in America, hate this war as most of the world does. But some of the fault lies with the rest of the world when it comes to the war in Iraq. Because the rest of the world doesn't seem to understand that there is "Strength in Numbers."
If Saddam Hussein had been faced with a world community seeking his ouster from office, then maybe he would have taken his billions of dollars and moved to France (In Exile) and then President Bush, might not have had the chance or excuse to invade Iraq.

There are those with hopes for the future. Read Neurotic Wife's post for example. If you read this column regularly you will know I usually want to put opposing opinions. But I found nobody saying anything at all positive about this war or the last five years. That is one thing that I have noticed that has changed comparing this anniversary to previous years. I put it down to a realisation that nothing good came out of the war. Worse, more and more I am hearing people saying the previous regime was better. As you say, it is sad.

Thanks, Salam. How sad.

Did you find no bloggers with anything positive or hopeful to say? I'm interested in those one-hand clappers, too, even though they are not representative.
