<description>As a journalist student and black I have no doubt that though there is a basis for outcry, but what is no basis is race. Looking in South Africa today black people are particularly not aware of democratic principles, there is so much dishuman treatment of anything, and I dont think race has anything to do with it.
My concern however with the FBJ is that, is not as democratic as one would have hoped. It is reversing stereotipicalism and most of all I found people who doint reason but revenge.
To me Journalism is acknowledgement of truthand finding it will never be based on black issues alone but finding the way to adress this matters with whites or whatever rainbow colour that exist.
Even Mr Zuma showed no leadership and fatheritic feel. He should think not as a black president but a responsible president that all of us can trust. If not we are heading for racial intoxification.
I know that even when I finnish my course it might be hard to find a job. However the important thing for me is not finding a job for payment based on the colour of my skin, only to find a job that will help me adress the pligh of my community and the country at large, does that say race????
If blacks are sinking in our profession then the whole profession must be sinking.
Black, white Indian Coloured Red, Blue and dadada Journalist let us rather be faithful than hateful.
