Well freedom of the press is not happening any more period.
In France the chief editor of a national 'news' magazine was fired over an offense to a major politician, he published on the cover the picture of a minister's wife and her lover.
Today the man is hapily devorced, remarried and making every cover...
If you are an independent journalist try and report about any story in France or Germany you will have a hard time getting one word printed anywhere unless you have friends.
Then there is no wonder Darfur is starting it's six year...
We did last year, we do it often enough.
Football is every day so is tennis and what ever else..
There is no following up. Oly lets grab it stories.
Lets win an award then there are the famous quotas....
Let's face it the media are part of the business world 99% of them.
They are in business to make money, not to inform people.
At the minimum to make enough money to pay the bosses salary and the staff or it will be cut, and then it is cut down anyway to make more money.
Press freedom:
Eufor is deploying in Chad without any journalist present.
How come ? Who is crying out loud ?
A few ideas for other to talk some sense.

Yeah that's true minty. i'm myself from DR Congo and i can tell you that something bigger than the rwandan genocide has occured in congo/zaire with absolute indifference from much of the world. Kagame, rwandan president and his army have killed directly or inderectly over 5 millions souls in eastern congo but nobody cares do you know why because the british and the americans have decided so. they back the rwandan government to further their interests in congo sacrificing millions of people. it's time europe stands up now and put an end to the american arrogance in the world
