I think AFRICOM was totally a Trojan Horse on this aspect. NATO is an alliance not forced aid. If America wants to be trusted then tell the rebels in Dafur to think about their children first. Tell the Sudan no more Arab incursion into Black Africa. Then lastly tell Belgium and France to compensate Rwanda for their lack of assistance to genoocide. After these three task had been accomplished then could dialogue begin. Africa does not need dead beat fathers and angry black women!!!

So sad to hear africans jubilate at the US not setting up a military base on the continent. So so sad.no glory, no power,no strength no nothing, except corrupted and undignified African leaders who don't understand and feel the psychological racial setbacks in statements such as 'foriegn aid, handouts" Yet they continue. Has anyone heard about Obasanjo of Nigeria and his galling uneducated policies? That's what I'm talking about. They simply don't possess that emotion of greatness and grandeur. My Africa! My Africa!! Maybe the next generation ......, maybe the next

I fully support the comments that we should mount the pressure to keep the US military out of Africa. I also think more investigation is definitely needed so as to be able to conclusively conclude just what exactly the US wants out of their base in Africa.
