		<description>The elections did produce some positive results:
1. The religious parties were cut to size, obtaining only 3 seats initially.

2. The moderate political parties won most of the seats, PPP(left of centre)turned out to be the majority party, followed by the PML-N(right of centre) and ANP.

3. Musharraf&#039;s kings party the Q League roundly beaten.

4. Musharraf&#039;s pro US policies rejected and disapproved by the majority of voters.

		<description>This is a great post. I think some of these points of view are too negative though. Having elections is always a step in the right direction.
