In the 14th century, almost all of figh-able Serbians died in a fierce battle to save Europe from Turks. It is thier true national heritage and all many poems young kids learned at school are about Kosovo. The current "administration" in Kosovo is a former terorist group that trained some of the Guantanamo detainees including australian David Hicks. Most of the lobbying behind the whole story comes from powerfull mafia involved in the most rough drug trade, prostitution and other forms of organized crimes. It is estimated they control 90 % of heroin trade in EU. Prisons in some european counries are packed with Albanian nationals who are simply not used to work in the usual sense of the word.

The possible theory is that these weird people will get their little playground. Serbia is going to join EU while Albanians will stay outside, mainly because some EU members will always oppose this (each and every member has to agree). Another reason is that Church is claming EU as their territory and will not allow islam in the EU. So good luck:)

The proclamation of Kosovo as an independent country within Republic of Serbia is a very dangerous precedent in international law. There are not any valid arguments to proclaim "a territory under international supervision" as a sovereign country and with that limit the sovereignty of Republic of Serbia over its territory!!!
Belgrade's attitude is clearly expected and understandable, i bet Paris, London, Rome would extremely oppose to proclamation of independence of "part of their territory". But, as everything else in the international community policy, the interest of the powerful ones is a commandment for the weak ones...Nice move by Brussels to offer accelerated access to Belgrade in the EU for return of a "piece of land", what more can one say...

The independence of a region in the world is mainly decided by international support. When an (emerging) independent country can be advantageous for one part of the international community, it can be seen suspiciously by the other part. In the case of Kosovo, its becoming independent means the sphere of Russian influence in this region of Europe will be reduced as a new Kosovo is surely to form a strong alliance with the USA and the EU.

I here how Kosovo is a part of Serbia and was part of the former Yugoslavia for so many years. My question is why for so many years being that the Albanians were under there supervision has Kosovo always been the poorest country as to were other countries reaped the rewards, mainly Serbia? What kind of track record dose Serbia have to show the international community when it came to the Albanians and their growth as a people. I also would like to know how Serbia claims that in one point in history they were the majority. When it must have been impossible to keep track of all the inhabitant's in that region so long ago. If the Serbs were keeping count then I really cant favor that fact. Lets be realistic an try to assimilate Serbian politics today and then. It would would almost be a confession on the Serbian side. An also the Serbs talk about the Albanians and their dream of a grater Albania. Isn't that what the Serbs try to do in the 90's with the fall of Yugoslavia? So in some scene it seems to me that the Serbs project themselves on others to mask and hide there own intentions. So I say to the good people of Serbia. Don't let your leaders disgrace you any further and look forward to the future and gain credibility.
