In the twenty first century it’s amazing that stuff like Guantanamo and detention camps for immigrants and torture and all that take place without people invoking things like the Universal Declaration of Human Rights – http://www.un.org/Overview/rights.html . Initiatives such as these are absolutely fantastic and we as global citizens definitely should extend this to educating ourselves and each other about the Universal declaration of human rights and all rights that we supposedly have under international law. I think most Africans would learn that we have a lot more rights – or at least are supposed to have a lot more rights- than we think we do
