In Gujarat, we have programmes on the environment and youth programmes, but hardly anything for the economically-backward sections of the society. That needs to change. First of all, the government must extend support to all non-profit organisations of repute to come up with educational programmes like this, so that we may expect these children to become self-reliant in the future.
