I was up country most of the time in Kenema. I really liked being around the people I worked with and have made so long time friends. The places where I lived were with families and that worked really well for me. Some people stayed in these hostel type things and they hated it. I had hot water everyday. The family I stayed with had were very accomodating. Only problem was that the cook was not always diverse with what she made. There was this lovely cafe in town though "Diaspora" that I enjoyed. I was there doing interviews. Once I got passed people asking for money because they were so desperately poor. I plan on going back next summer for three months.
