Since being "found out" by the public and "guilty" by the Court, Thaksin is a convicted fugitive on the run, who seems to embarrass Thai people all around the world by his actions over the past few years.

Some say he may be akin to "Rumplestilskin", as he has been stomping his foot down to get revenge on Thailand, by organizing and calling into his "red shirt" rallies, some of them turning violent such as earlier this year in April 2009 during the Thai Songkran holidays where much of the city was lit on fire.

Thankfully, we have Prime Minister Abhisit, who is at the helm. He is a real person, taking on a civil servant's position to clean up the big mess from Thaksin, his 2 nominee governments that followed the coup, and Abhisit is the one who will go down in history for doing his best to get Thailand moving forward again. Prime Minister Abhisit has thankfully been using the law in the proper way, unlike Thaksin who has mainly used the loopholes in the law for his personal gain.

Prime Minister Abhisit has my confidence, and I am not alone. Please see this exerpt from "Letters to Editor" from the Nation Newspaper in Thailand, published on September 20, 2009:

Abhisit has performed and behaved admirably

When did we last have a prime minister with such eloquence and modesty? Well, by my account, it has been far too long since such a humble personality was in the political arena.

Since taking office on the 17th of December last year, Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva has pretty much outwitted all his predecessors in terms of aura, flair and |persona.

The way he relates to the people around him - be it his associates, subordinates, media, people and even his opposition - he has done it with genuine intentions and nothing short of elegance.

Though he stepped up to assume this position at a most gruelling time one might say, I would say he has scored more points than anyone could have done.

Faced with some momentous turning points domestically and the global economic recession, he has a lot on his plate right now.

To bring Thailand out of this mess and prosper, I could not find anyone more fitting for the job.

His credentials and eminence practically speaks for itself.

As he confronted waves of criticism from the opposition on policies and procedures, I think he is ever more determined and motivated to do things right for the public and the country.

Let's give this charismatic figure a break. I believe with all the right intentions, our Prime minister is having a tough time, tenfold more than ordinary people like us.

He deserves to be treated with respect and its only a matter of time before he can solve all these critical issues and lead us all to a brighter future.

This was what the deposed Thai premier Thaksin Shinawatra said to reporters in Hong Kong.

"I will go back from February onwards," Thaksin told reporters in Hong Kong, in his first reaction to the election result. He declined to give a precise date, but said he hoped it would happen by April at the latest.

"I want to go back when my life can be peaceful in Thailand, as a normal citizen," said the billionaire former telecoms tycoon, who has been living in exile mainly in London since the military seized power.

I personally think he will be back in Thailand in no time but the question remains to be asked "Be a normal Citizen?
