I left Uganda the day the Queen got there. I had been worried about getting to the airport, etc. but that was fine, until the jet engines wouldn't start....but that is another story. We went to London, where we turned the TV on in the hotel room, fully expecting to see a video of the Queen stepping out of her plane. Must be a yawner for the Brits because there was NO COVERAGE. Same ol' same ol' for them, I guess. There was a bit on the international news a few days later when we were back in the states. While there, I kept wondering how many of those pot holes Charles' car would hit when he went to see the wild animals and if the Queen used a "thrown" or did she have to squat over a hole like the rest of us.
