How much should I budget for food if I buy local produce only and cook for myself? I heard that electrity is expensive. How much could it be? How could Dominica be one of the most expensive in the Carribean if it is so poor? I need a decent place for a year. Is the capital a save and clean place to be? Any suggestions? Cost of living is higher than most Caribbean islands from what surveys have shown, but there are alot of positives which are outside the shopping baskets.
