Bahraini blogger Esra'a posts a podcast featuring a lecture by Saudi businesswoman, Madawi Al Hassoun, a board member of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce. “If you don’t know much about Saudi women, if the main thing you hold against them is their inability to drive, if you think Saudi women are doing nothing to achieve progress and change in the country, or if you’re just curious about what Mrs. Al Hassoun has to say - I suggest you listen to this podcast carefully,” she writes.

To whom it may concern, I lived in Saudi Arabia for about 15 years. I have seen the development of this country and am witness to many told and told stories of this society of life behind the curtain. I have a lot of good and bad memories of this wonderfull land. Saudi people are the same as other people around the world-basically human beings who always lose sense by getting access of money or athority. Family values are great and old and middle ages people are very respectfull, youngesters are oil money spoiled. Women are too great beautifull but Saudi men do not trust them and never leave them alone. In this 21st century they should be allowed and trusted to travel alone to do business and visit USA, one of the biggest economy in the world and being run under the rule of law- where women can not be abuse at all if they themself donot like.
