    We have friends staying in Punta Cana Dominican Republic, wondering how they are doing after the storm. Does anyone know if this area was badly hit..

    @Greg Cavanagh: sadly yes, the south-east was one of the area that was more affected. But if they are staying in a hotel do not worry they are save.

    Was wondering how the marinas in Luperon survived. Have a couple of friends on a sailboat under mooring there and haven’t heard anything.
