Farah,

I too am looking at an offer in Dar e Salam and would appreciate if you could give me an idea about:

1.cost of schooling at Agha Khan School or International School of Tanginyka
2.how much would an average car cost
3.cost of utilities
4.monthly salary of a maid

I believe elctricity supply is not very reliable and security can be an issue i.e. its recommended to live in a compound with 24 hour security.

How are the flight connections to Dubai or Qatar?

Agha Khan school do they follow GCSE or IB curriculum?

What about shopping when it comes to stuff other than groceries i.e. clothing, electronics, etc.?

DO appologise for asking so many question for I need to be very clear before I commit having gotten used to a very safe, comfortable and a hassle free life style in Hong Kong where I am based with my family (wife plus 2 daughters 9 and 6).

Take care and all the best.

Asim.

daresalam is beautiful and the people are wonderful. There are good private schools _ Aga Khan Secondary School is really rated top. Life-style is slow and relaxing...while cost of living is going up - it very affordable for global standardss..Avg household is run on $500 month.
