http://www.google.com/search?q=Aung+San+Suu+Kyi+Robert+Helvey

http://www.google.com/search?q=Aung+San+Suu+Kyi+Karen+insurgency

而这些都与美国的伊战的主谋划者 American Enterprise Institute(美国企业协会)有关

http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Albert_Einstein_Institution

"Helvey"原是五角大楼国防情报机关的官员,曾参加越战,作为美国国防专员工作在缅甸仰光(1983年到85年),秘密组织缅甸学生为昂山素季工作并与Karen起义组织合作.

下边是关于Col Robert Helvey和CIA使用非暴力斗争来颠覆他国的章程(最近的例子即橙色革命和天鹅绒革命)
http://www.saag.org/papers2/paper198.htm

與知情人交談得知 - 緬甸危機多面 - it's not only CIA.

記得 George Soros 嗎? 1997 泰銖/東南亞經濟危機. 緬甸民主活動家有公開接受 Soros 的 OSI 智囊團支持(錢).

I've never viewed blogs containing such remarks on this issue here in China. So it's a bit strange to me that "bloggers side with ..."
"Sometimes I think that if I was to believe in one god, but then obey the RAB's leaders as well, I'd be really scared of going to hell."
The religious situation in China is not bad as described above. Believing in God is absolutely OK here, though there is no state religion and missions in universities are not allowed. Religion did not play a important role in in a Chinese guy's life as some westerners may assume. It is mainly due to our culture rather than the government. As Confucius said,"Respect and stay away from the gods and the ghosts."

John, I think you know who I am, based on our private email conversations.

And thanks for pumping my blog - but please note the fact I blog under the nickname/handle "bobby fletcher" is no secret - my blog profile is open to the public.

Personal attack exactely means you people have nothing to say about the facts presented.

Mac et al, the fact you are going after me means you have nothing to say about the facts presented.

Why are you people ignore the fact George Soros’ OSI has been bank rolling this uprise?

The Burmese democracy activists have openly acknowleged receiving support from OSI. Add on qusai-government organization like NED funded Einstein Institute operated by CIA officer Col. Rober Helvey - and people wonder why.

Are you going to talk about America’s privatization of foreign policy like this, where cold-war warriors justify their exsitence by spending their ill-gotten gains on behalf of Uncle Sam?

Are you going to remind them George Soros was the one who destroyed the Thai Baht back in 1997?

i wonder what would be the best action to get rid of this so called " goverment "... actually it will be tough, since the local secret service is everywhere, in every corner of this country you have people working for the goverment, tranferring any information either to the local police or the military. while the elite is playing golf and having teatime in the five star hotels, the ordinary people are beeing treated like crab. is a boycott a good idea? not sure, apparently there are not tourists anymore and the season ahead will be almost zero. but: all the folks working in the hotels, running small restaurants etc. will find themselfs without any resources. what to do?? i am owning a place in myanmar and wonder how to proceed in the future, how can the myanmar people get democratic rights and finally a free life? who has a good idea? mister charles liu does not have it, he is just masturbating his brain for nothing, trying to find reasons for facts that can´t be excused. 200 people died, what are you looking for to explain??? come up with something intelligent to save the wonderfull country of myanmar, there people and their humanity!

Useful article, but can someone please explain to me why there is a reference (w/wiki link) to Li Hongzhi in this article （2nd paragraph)? Did I miss the part where the leader of Falun Gong said something about the crackdown in Burma? If so, this is very important.

Also: "物价" is not about "commodity prices" (產品的價錢)--it's the "cost of living" and refers to daily necessities, rent, and such.

We all know who is the sole benefactor of the Myanmar junta is, when is enough enough? When will the human race re-discover its humanity and shun the next summer Olympics?

Remember, every time you buy something made in China, you support the monsters in Beijing who support the monsters in the Sudan, North Korea, Zimbabwe and...Myanmar.

Boycott the Olympics, boycott China. Smack a member of a foreign chamber of commerce in bad China.

Free Burma!
International Bloggers' Day for Burma on the 4th of October

International bloggers are preparing an action to support the peaceful revolution in Burma. We want to set a sign for freedom and show our sympathy for these people who are fighting their cruel regime without weapons. These Bloggers are planning to refrain from posting to their blogs on October 4 and just put up one Banner then, underlined with the words „Free Burma!“.

John,
I did not accuse you of not mentioning the oil factor. Please read what I posted again. I too spend a lot of time writing comments. I was referring to journalists who reported the incident during the first few days.

Start again from my sentence from "I remember during the first few days of the protests, no journalists bothered..."

Also, I do not believe what I posted is considered trolling. It is what I believe in, or based on my understanding of the subject matter. In fact, I almost always back up what I claim with sources when I think my reader would find what I have to say to be questionable.

@netzen & MAC, thanks for your comments. I followed through the first link there and this came up as result #2: kalimao.blogspot.com/2007/09/human-rights-mutiny-in-myanmar.html

..with the exact comment and set of links which led me there, so either Charles Liu, an interesting and dedicated troll in his own right, is none other than the notorious 'China blog' troll bobby fletcher—and I see now someone <a href="http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&newwindow=1&safe=off&q=%22bobby+fletcher%22+China+blog&btnG=Search" rel="nofollow">made that connection long ago</a>—or else these guys plagiarize each other (see misspelling of Aung's name both here and at kalimao).

Any news from Rangoon? Last I heard troops were marching in from Mandalay, but it wasn't known if they were coming to stop the protesters or the Rangoon soldiers or both..

MAC,

The trigger for the protest was higher oil prices. Such protests are not uncommon in countries where oil prices are fixed by the government. Malaysia also had our share of oil prices increase that led to protests:

However, reading through the presses one can clearly see how journalists are trying to exploit the unrest. I remember during the first few days of the protests, no journalists bothered to explain the cause of the protest. All reports sounded like this: Monks protesting, Myanmar government is a military junta, human rights suppression, innocent killed, aung san nobel prize winner under house arrest.

The most important reason for what caused the protests (higher oil prices) were completely ignored by the press until a few days later.

Democracy is part of China. The country's name is called PEOPLE'S republic of China. It belongs to the people. Constitution also says:

Article 2. All power in the People's Republic of China belongs to the people.

Article 34. All citizens of the People's Republic of China who have reached the age of 18 have the right to vote and stand for election, regardless of nationality, race, sex, occupation, family background, religious belief, education, property status, or length of residence, except persons deprived of political rights according to law.

You live in China so you should know that there are elections that are held in China every 5 years. And you should have come across names of places like Great hall of the PEOPLE, LIBERATION STREET, PEOPLE'S SQUARE - does those name not sound DEMOCRATIC to you?

Communists are supporters of Democracy. It is Fascism that is against Democracy and Anti Communist.

Therefore it doesn't surprise me that many Chinese Communists should be supporting Democracy in Myanmar.
