India, once identified as a promising alternative to Western moral standards in politics is now following in the footsteps of the West and obviously putting priority on economically motivated politics, forgetting that what is going on in Burma right now is an impressive reminder of Indias own fight for freedom from oppression just a few decades ago. What a shame. Being an Indian I am ashamed about the Indian government’s silence over the freedom fight in Burma.
