Hey Asdrubal,

where are you from? Either you're Brazilian or not, your words don't show a very good grasp of the Brazilian situation. Many Northwestern States in Brazil are in fact poorer and less developed than São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. But this fact is mostly due to political and economical matters of which the São Paulo State is not completely innocent of. More than that, this kind of hate speech is the paragon of the underdevelopment in places that think themselves as very developed around the globe, including São Paulo state in Brazil. So, if you think your words would sound wise or even smart, I'm sorry to inform you that is not so. Being blind to the fact that every country develops due to it's diversity, and the diversity of ideas and efforts made by different people in it, doesn't get you many friends outside the small minded circles of the spoiled middle-class teenagers around the globe.

Speaking of development, can you explain us what do you mean by "Piauí [...] 'gernerates' no wealth"? And, once you are at it, how about telling us what do you have against poor people? Don't you know that all around the world, poverty is generally not the poor man's fault? :)

Hey Paulinha! Congratulations for your first article in GVO! I'm very proud to have welcomed you to Global Voices em Portugues two months ago (it seems to be so much more!), and I'm very happy to now read this article.

Great work, as always!

Hugs,
