Sadly, the Bush Administration is working against Saudi reformers by strongly supporting the royalty as “good friends” and “trusted allies” and overlooking their half-hearted modernization efforts. For the past six months I’ve been tracking the Saudi funded expansion of militant, extremist Wahhabi Islam at my blog, Wahaudi.
If a regime wants to survive, it must bring the people into the political process.
To many of us here in America, who pay attention to what is happening in the world, we believe that Saudi Arabia, is more of an enemy to America, than Iran is.
Not only has President Bush, allied with a government that really hates us, he has also allowed the Saudi government to allow their citizens to keep kidnapped American children. These kidnapped American children were kidnapped by their Saudi fathers from their American mothers. When the Saudi father and American mother were separated or divorced, the Saudi father would kidnap their children and take them to Saudi Arabia. Then the Saudi government would forbid the American children (And those who are adults now) from ever leaving Saudi Arabia. So in other words, President Bush, is allied with a government that keeps kidnapped American children and adults, and does nothing about it. Where is the so called American press on this subject?
