Principles should come before personalities and leaders such as Mbeki need to put their personal agendas aside when dealing with situations that concern the well being of those that he is paid to serve. This is however, wishful thinking, as evidenced by the handling of the Zimbabwe situation and others where human rights have been trashed. It seems that we are going to have to wait for this generation to die out or become defunct before any real progress can be made.
