I sent an error to you. Actually Joe's blog is on Yahoo.360. That is why he can get so many hits on his sight from Vietnamese in Vietnam. If his blog was on "Blogger" it would not be reached by many Vietnamese because "blogger" is bocked by many of the ISP's in Vietnam.

Hi Rebecca and Sujatha,
Just got a message from the author of the post

To whomever posted the comment:
Thanks for your response!

It was the Canadian Joe who wrote that entry, and your question was asked by quite a few of his Vietnamese readers so he made a later post clarifying that the entry was satirical.

I tried sending you an e-mail via the Global Voices interface, but leaving a message here as well. Could you please point me to your blog? Thanks.

Also, waiting to read your response to Rebecca's query.

Cheers!

Hi there. Welcome to Global Voices! I would like to clarify something. When Trung wrote:

Everyone knows that blogging in Vietnam has its difficulties. But when I heard that Yahoo and Microsoft joined hands to monitor blogs with software to change ‘sensitive’ words into the names of Vietnamese dishes

..was this a joke? Or has Yahoo now implemented a new system to modify sensitive keywords on Vietnamese blogs? I would appreciate it if you could clarify, given Yahoo's rather bad track record elsewhere. Thanks.
