in answer to Mr. cook: i understand that as stated 90% or more Americans don't want or seek out a war with anyone or go in search of a war with anyone. guess mr cook should look back into history as to the causes of war. wars are started by the men who have the ability and power to control the masses of a nation into going against there fellow man for land power and greed. and as todays wars; national security, religuose beliefs, fanatic leaders, oil, food, black white brown or what ever. its the same causes that wars are fought. today as in the past the men with political powers start and stop wars as they see fit. the only thing thats changed is that todays military weapons to destroy are beyond imagination. anyone who has been to war will tell you that war is a sensless and unproductive act of man doing nothing but destroying himself as a humane being.millions have followed fools into war and will continue to do so,the point is war sucks no matter how it was started or why. the decision still is with the power held by a select few. MEN start wars not GODS. still just my opinion

Larry does not speak for even 1% of America. He speaks for himself.

Larry... how many Iraqi blogs did you visit pre-2003?

Are you aware of the state of the Iraqi "blogosphere" pre 2003?

How about the state of Iraqi internet penetration pre-2003?

How about ME internet penetration rates as a whole?

Know anything about the global digital divide and on what side Iraq was on pre-2003?

Where it is moving slowly towards now?

Certainly as a farmer you must understand how indispensible oil is?

Can you run your farm without it?

Can you make plans for the future without the US securing it?

Do you understand what regions we must deal with in order to run your tractor and bring you your supplies and take your product to market?

Do you understand that at this point alternative fuels can not provide even a reasonable accomidation?

Have you paid attention to the world markets this week and their reponses to our fuctuating market?

Do you understand the concept of Global Interdependence and where the West and the US fits?

Do you understand the stated goals of Islamic Jihadists?

Can you compare contributions between liberal democracies and theocracies or other autocracies?

Can you for the sake of others be objective and aware of your own bias?

So many horrible mistakes have been made in this conflict, but hyperbole and conspiracy doesn't help. What-say-ye to us sticking to the facts?

Thank you for you comment Larry. It is good to hear how ordinary Americans feel about world problems. I think if more people express their outrage at what they see and hear the world would be a better place.
