Thanks for your comment. What we did here was just to highlight the bloggers’ voices on their weddings. I have heard that more bride kidnapping (Alachuu) has happenened this year – and I’ll look out for blog posts to write a dedicated roundup on the topic.

I’m just curious as to why there was no mention of the increase in men kidnapping their brides during this time of year, as well, in Kyrgyzstan? It’s a curious ommision –
