Sokari reflects on the nationwide strike, which tooks place last month in Nigeria: “For a brief 4 days between, 20th and 23rd June, Nigerians from across the country joined in a nationwide strike which brought the country to a standstill. However, the opportunity to achieve the beginnings of fundamental change in the problems facing the country was once again abandoned by the labour unions capitulating after only 4 days.”
