The solution is long term. Nothing can be done 'after' the killing, for the so-called victim. Awareness about the genuine Honor wrt women is not just about their maintainig their virginity, but to a very, very broad domain. There was a line in a campaign, with a person sitting in a small shop, 'Kalpana chawla's brother runs a grocery shop in a city in punjaab; Save Girl Child'. this is a genuine honor. and on similar lines, though virginity is a personal matter, why should lose it when you know that your loved and dear ones will get hurt when a 'third person' tell them the 'status of truth' in not a pleasent manner.
