A team of African journalists, who are working with Panos London will blog from the G8 Summit in Germany: “For nine days starting on 1 June, journalists from Ethiopia, Uganda, Mozambique and South Africa will bring you stories and perspectives from Africa on HIV/AIDS and healthcare, international aid, debt relief and climate change.
We’ll be reporting from the G8 Summit in Heiligendamm and the G8-alternative-summit, and will be finding out whether the G8 is really listening to African voices.”

We are also on top of the G8 Summit 2007 at Heiligendamm all week over at ‘Jewels in the Jungle’. Our work will be voices from the African-German and African-American diaspora who actually live here in Germany. Articles (posts) will be published in English but some German language skills would be helpful to understand our detailed coverage about how the German media and press are reporting on the Africa Agenda at the G8 Summit 2007.
It’s great to see Panos-London support the AfricaVox 2007 journalists at the G8 again. Perhaps these journalists will decide to hang around the blogosphere a while longer this time around vs. disbanding immediately after this G8 summit wraps up. See my comment on AfricaVox reporter Richard M. Kavuma’s June 1st piece “Why Geldorf’s image of a rotting Africa is OK by me” for a GVO CJ’s spin on the same scoop. All black people are not alike…
