Hi Jillian, thank you for your post. I'm sorry if I seemed a little curt; as I stated in my post, there is much to justifiably criticize about Morocco but I read so many posts that spout off remarks and "information" which is, many times, mis or completely uninformed, I sometimes feel the need to clarify when I can. Also as someone who rents property, i have so many people ask questions such as "do they have ATM machines in Morocco??" that I am often left wondering if people really know what kind of country they are visiting/living in/talking about.
So be it - thanks again for your post and for your support of this forum. Enjoy!

I apologize - I live in Morocco, and I'm aware that Acima, Marjane, and Label' Vie, among other shops, sell alcohol. Up until Cat in Rabat's post, however, I was not aware of any specialty outlets, though I now know that there was already a Nicolas shop in Casa. My job is simply to amplify posts that seem interesting/important - Sorry if it was not entirely correct information.

Just a small comment on the last "novelty" about the "first wine outlet" in Morocco... I live in Casablanca, where there are at least 2 full-fledged wine outlets, not to mention the many grocery stores that have permits to sell alcohol, including the huge, national grocery store "marjan". I agree to many criticisms about Morocco, but we're not living in the stone age!!! There is a middle ground, and depending on the topic, we're heading forward on some grounds, standing still on others and, yes, unfortunately, retreating on yet others. More objectivity would be appreaciated. Thank you.
