I'm sorry if I seemed a little curt; as I stated in my post, there is much to justifiably criticize about Morocco but I read so many posts that spout off remarks and "information" which is, many times, mis or completely uninformed, I sometimes feel the need to clarify when I can. Also as someone who rents property, i have so many people ask questions such as "do they have ATM machines in Morocco??" that I am often left wondering if people really know what kind of country they are visiting/living in/talking about. Up until Cat in Rabat's post, however, I was not aware of any specialty outlets, though I now know that there was already a Nicolas shop in Casa. I live in Casablanca, where there are at least 2 full-fledged wine outlets, not to mention the many grocery stores that have permits to sell alcohol, including the huge, national grocery store "marjan". I agree to many criticisms about Morocco, but we're not living in the stone age!!! There is a middle ground, and depending on the topic, we're heading forward on some grounds, standing still on others and, yes, unfortunately, retreating on yet others. More objectivity would be appreaciated. Thank you.
