The whole of "Beautiful Africa" is doomed, unfortunately! I'm not suprised, there aint no crude oil there, otherwise certain powerful politicians would have taken the bull by the horns and Mr.Mugabe would have lost his comfortable position long ago. South Africa and Rhodesia were 2 of the most prosperous countries in Africa some time back, land of oportunity for all. Rhodesia now practically destroyed, and seems the rest of the planet don't give a da.. that South Africa goes the same way, slowly but surely. Does the rest of the world know that in the whole of South Africa there are daily electricity, and water cuts without prior notice / warning! The infrastructure was not forseen, bla, bla, bla... These are some of the little things amongst many others that have to do with coruption along the years and all add to unbalance the country's economic stability. Go on Mr. Bush, you're the expert on overthrowing dictators, go in on "Rhodesia"... Zimbabwe and give them a hand for humanity's sake not for the oil. By the way as you know in South Africa there still are many diamonds, gold, uranium, platinum and many other minerals, and also they extract oil from coal at "Secunda - Sasol." Go on world politicians there you have a handfull of riches to grab. What would it take to try to keep South Africa floating at least!!

[...] So as much as I want to be outraged about Robert Mugabe taking over the chair of the U.N. Committee on Sustainable Development - yep, give that responsibility to a man who’s caused 2,200% inflation in his struggling country - my heart’s just not in it. Zimpundit is appropriately outraged, though, and rounds up reactions to the current miserable situation from all around that beautiful country. [...]
