Cristian Cambronero posts the current polling numbers in his blog Fusil De Chispas [ES] on how Costa Ricans would vote in the upcoming referendum on the proposed Free-Trade Agreement. In two of the polls, between 47-49% would vote in favor of the trade pact. The results elicited a number of responses arguing how accurate polls really are, including one commenter who wrote, “one learns how to read them for what they are: indicators of something, not necessarily true reality.”

En Costa Rica las encuestas manipularon la información muchísimo en la pasada campaña electoral, por ese motivo han perdido mucha credibilidad.
The last costarrican elections for president where terrible manipulated.
Our actual president received a lot of money from US to finance his campaign and that was ILEGAL and CORRUPTION.
The polls said he was going to win big time and he almost losted. The biggest newspapers and tv channels have also their own interests,
So don’t expect that costarricans will believe in a poll or in a new. Because we are too smart….we won’t let people in power manipulate us.
