Choloblog [ES] is drawn into the debate whether Peru's prized tourist attraction, the Incan ruins of Machu Picchu, should be voted as one of the 7 Wonders of the World. A website was created to draw upon votes from all across the globe to determine which manmade structures would be anointed this special status. Choloblog includes an essay by Luis Millones that argues that Peru should resist the urge so as to protect its patrimony from an influx of tourists.
