Hi

Great post. Well summarised. The issue is not going to be dropped. The episode/series is one thing, but there are other issues: blocking blogs and forums, banning news articles in newspapers (by the newspaper owners/pressure from authorities), and film censorship.

This is a pattern of concern. And in this time of reforms in Kuwait, freedom of speech is essential to ensure that the reformers are supported and that the truth is clear.

Keep up with what is being planned as a reaction to all of this: http://istherelight.blogspot.com/2007/03/blog-post_25.html

Thanks for your great work

I second that motion, Badger. Blogging is the way we can speak out and help the move forward. Our governments must learn what the future wants and needs, and being open to change sometimes comes through really knowing what the masses are talking about to affect change. Options for our lives is a basic human right. We have our challenges here in Turkey as well; from closing down UTube for a short while to being harassed about the simplest of things. We must all claim our voice for a better future.
